James Villa

He has also been the Vice President and General Counsel of Colonial Parking, Inc. and before that, was Vice President and Chief Counsel at AOL, Inc. Mr. Villa spent 11 years as a Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia.

From 2015 to 2021, Mr. Villa served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel, National Capitol Region, serving as the organization’s President in 2019. Since 2014, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University Law School. Mr. Villa was a member of the Board of Directors of Gifts for the Homeless, Inc. an organization serving those in need in the Washington, D.C. area, from 1992 to 2019, and now serves on that organization’s Leadership Council. From 2016-2022, he served as a Member of the Advisory Committee for Legal Council for the Elderly, an organization within AARP that provides legal advice to seniors in Washington D.C. Mr. Villa is also the Head Coach of the Falls Church High School Junior Varsity Baseball team in Fairfax, Virginia.

He is a former commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, having commanded a combat support Military Policy company in support of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Task Force Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service during that conflict. Mr. Villa received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
